An obituary.
We gather here today to mourn the loss of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, otherwise known as “DEI”. After decades of diverse peoples attempting to critique the myth of meritocracy in the public consciousness and challenge the power structures that keep cishet white men at the top, particularly in higher education and corporate America, far right elites have captured and defeated yet another lexical tool for social justice.
