A STEM Gay Goes to San Diego

A late post today, but for good reason! I’m spending my weekend in “Sunny San Diego” (I say as thought it hasn’t been raining all day) to attend a conference about health care! I’ve been very kindly invited to talk about the experiences of trans patients navigating the health care system, for which I’m incredibly grateful.

Paid subscribers will receive some pictures from the event, as well as my slides from the talk, which are full of resources for health care providers seeking to make their practice more welcoming to trans people!

I strongly recommend that you purchase all the talk recordings from this conference! I attended many of the talks at this conference, and they were all top-notch research into understanding pain. You can buy the recordings until March 10, 2024; doing so supports patient-centered and justice-oriented health care education! https://www.sandiegopainsummit.com/recordings

If you want me to come give this talk to your professional conference, please feel free to contact me and we can talk speaker fees! I always love getting the chance to share my story :) https://www.thatannamarie.com/contact

Image shows Dr. Anna Marie LaChance looking at camera with a smile on her face, next to text that reads: "2024 Annual San Diego Pain Summit. March 1-3, 2024.
